Volunteers wising to join us for the Winter Season as an alpine skier/rider or sit skier Ski/Ride Buddy must be able to ski to a Blue Runner level in order to sign up for Ski/Ride Buddy roles within our Sign Up System.
Volunteers who are a Green Runner may sign up to take part in Volunteer Training (Sit Ski, Neurodivergent & Visually Impaired) Sessions but will be unable to assist as a Ski/Ride Buddy.
A Green Runner is defined (for RMA purposes) as a skier or rider who is able to ski independently on all Green Runs at Sunshine Village, using parallel turns or sliding turns to control speed. A Blue Runner is defined (for RMA purposes) as a skier or rider who is able to ski independently on all Blue Runs at Sunshine Village, using parallel turns or sliding turns to control speed.
RMA’s Volunteer Screening Process involves the registration process through Better Impact and Volunteer Training Sessions. RMA reserves the right to request deny sign up opportuniies to those who do not pass the Screening Process.
RMA is unable to allow individuals with a Criminal Record to join the Volunteer Team.
