You must be 16 years of age or older to officially volunteer with RMA. Volunteers under 16 must be accompanied by an adult volunteer. No previous experience necessary.
There are four steps to becoming a volunteer:
- Create a profile in Better Impact, our online volunteer sign up system.
- Read RMA’s Code of Conduct and Safeguarding Policy.
- Attend a Volunteer Training Session to learn about RMA and our adaptive equipment.
- Submit a Vulnerable Sector Check that has been completed in the past six months.
Please note, these steps can be done in any order. Whichever is most convenient for you!
Rocky Mountain Adaptive does have volunteer opportunities outside of supporting our participants. If you are interested in administration, fundraising, or social media a Vulnerable Sector Check may not be required.
